Abstract:
Sustainable or Green construction refers to the adoption of building designs, construction methods and materials that are environmentally friendly. It also means using materials and resources that have sustainable supplies and are readily available from many sources. Building materials typically considered to be green include lumber from forests that have been certified to a third-party forest standard, rapidly renewable plant materials like bamboo and straw, dimension stone, recycled stone, recycled metal etc.
