Evolution of 5G Technologies

Abstract:
According to the latest data from the GSMA, 206 commercial LTE networks in 79 countries have now been deployed compared to the 50 countries in December 2011. Though this technology is developing each year in terms of speed, it has yet to be widely adopted by consumers. In Europe, for instance, just 1.3 percent of wireless connections are 4G LTE. The preferred fourth generation technology today is LTE-Advanced and this is chosen over WMAX as it provides a path for development of the next generation of wireless technologies which is 5G.
