Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties of Concrete by using Marble Sludge Powder as Admixtures

Abstract:

Nowadays reusing of waste material is necessary to reduce the waste deposit in our world. The waste deposit will create harmful to the environment and human beings. In this project marble sludge powder was used as admixture. Marble sludge powder is a waste product when sawing and the polishing processes were done. The main objective of our project is to study the influence of admixtures used with marble powder, and to compare it with the compressive strength, tensile strength, and flexural strength of ordinary M20 concrete. We are also trying to find the percentage of marble powder adding (4%, 6%,8%,10%) in concrete that makes the strength of the concrete maximum. marble powder of volume fractions 2,6, 8, & 10% on Ordinary Portland cement concrete.
