Abstract:

In this paper the authors has critically verified the design of shaft of two furrows reversible plough and also FEM analysis is done. The main objective of this is to optimize the design of shaft as it gets bend or fails after some uses. To analyse the shaft firstly a proper modelling is done by Creo 3.0 software. Then by using ANSYs v11 software FEM analysis is done to determine the different types of stresses and deformation developed. After carried out the analysis it has been found out that whenever there is sudden impact on the plough the shaft gets bend thus for efficient working the shaft is redesigned to withstand the different forces along with static and dynamic load.
