Computing the outlet temperature of a partially covered Photovoltaic Thermal (PVT) Compound Parabolic Concentrator using analytical charecteristic equations

Abstract:
In this paper, the analytic equations for a partially covered photovoltaic thermal compound parabolic concentrator (PVT-CPC) water collector system have been used to compute the final outlet temperature of water flowing through a flat plate collector. The analytic equations were obtained as a result of energy balance for each component of the partially covered PVT-CPC system. The analysis was done for New Delhi India on a monthly average basis and it was found that the outlet water had maximum temperature for the month of May.
