Abstract:
This project deals with the system to monitor and control the ON and OFF status of the electrical appliances involved in home systems through HMI (Human Machine Interface) integrated PLC. The existing system has mechanical switches which are quite unsafe to use and the systems does not have the option to change the modes of operation. In this proposed system, lower energy consuming devices are used and operated at different modes according to human needs. Here all the appliances are controlled with the help of sensors and they are user programmed through HMI integrated PLC. Thus the signals from the sensors latches the PLC [1] inputs and the output of the PLC activates the output relay and thus lights, fans, solenoid valve and buzzer are controlled and worked effectively.
